Bamboo is the most rapidly renewable ' resource on Earth which removes Carbon-di-oxide (C02) from the atmosphere. It is a strong, resilient and enduring building material which is stronger than steel by weight

Bamboo is a grass and it grows like grass-fast. It can grow to its full height and diameter a matter of months and be ready to harvest for structural use in 3 to 4 years.

It efficiently produces more usable timber/ acre/year than other trees.lt has innumerable and diverse uses in everyday life, for example: it is used as building material, making furniture. Clothing, paper, food, biomass, fodder etc. There are more than 1500 listed uses of bamboo.

The Overall vision for this course is to use Bamboo for an integral environment friendly development and generating Employment opportunities for the masses
